For nearly a century the Bushby Property Group has responded to the needs of the community it serves – we’ve been there during severe economic downturns and periods of social upheaval such as the Great Depression, Launceston’s flood events, and of course both World Wars.
Our support for the community back then is matched by our support for the community today. Since 2005 our community service program has primarily taken the form of an annual fundraiser, where staff members and the organisation itself contribute to a fund that is directed to organisations in the community.
Some of the organisations we have been able to assist are:
Examiner Newspaper’s Empty Stocking Appeal, The Launceston City Mission, The Salvation Army via the K-Mart Wishing Tree appeal. The Northern Tasmanian Easter Tennis Tournament, The Launceston Football Club, The Greens Beach Golf Club, Trevallyn Tennis Centre, The Tamar Valley Folk Festival, The Academy Gallery – University of Tasmania, Wheels For Will, Scotch Oakburn College, The Australian Red Cross, Mowbray Golf Club Vets The Northern Tasmania Junior Soccer, Bracknell Football Club, The Trevallyn Taste Festival, The Launceston Indoor Sports Arena, Clifford Craig Medical Research, John Glover Society, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
